I am at a cafe" or "I am in a cafe" what is the different?
Use "at" when you want to explain where you are especially if the exact spot matters more than being inside.
For example:
Where are you?
I am at the cafe.
Use "in" when you want to emphasize that you're physicially inside the space
For example:
It's snowing so I'm in a cafe drinking coffee.
