MOMİ – Dağ Gibi Adam
Momi derler, yüce dağdır adı,
Çektiği çilenin yoktur hesabı.
Yüreği yanarken susar da yine,
Bir ömür verdi hep başkasına diye.
Bir dağ gibi durdun, yıkılmadın hiç,
Rüzgârlar esti, savurdu, biçemedi hiç.
Kar kış dinlemedin, yol oldun yine,
Kendinden verdin hep sessizliğine.
Okulun yolları yarım kaldı hep,
Bir baba susturdu, kesti umut hep.
Tökezleyince affetmedi hiç,
Evlat değilmiş sanki bir hiç.
Çocukken sustun, söz hakkın olmadı,
Babanın hükmüyle hayatın karardı.
Okuldan alındın, düşlerin kırık,
Yaralı gönlünde bin umut çığlık.
Sevdin, sevildin, kavuşmak yoktu,
Yüreğin doluydu, hayat çok yordu.
Zorla kuruldu bir yuva, eksik,
Huzur aradın, bulamadın hiçlik.
Sevdi mi? Sevdi, hem de içten,
Ama zorla çektiler elinden.
Evlen dedi baba, gönül razı mı?
Kırıldı kalbi, sızlar hâlâ mı?
Kardeşlerim dedin, canını verdin,
Üç kuruş menfaata terk edildin.
Unuttular seni, ettiklerini,
Dünyada vefa mı? Yok artık gerisi.
Destek oldu, kol kanat gerdi,
Her düşeni tutup yukarı çekti.
Ama ne vefa, ne de bir selam,
Kardeş dedikleri bile etti haram.
Emekle yoğruldun, alın terisin,
Helal lokma için koşan birisin.
Çok konuştun belki, boş derler sana,
Ama kötülük yok yüreğinde, kana kana.
Babana baktın, işten ayrıldın,
Ama en büyük darbeyi ondan aldın.
Yine de kin tutmadın, razı oldun,
Düşenin dostuydun, her işe koştun.
Babası için işten ayrıldı,
Aylarca başında hastane kaldı.
Ama kazık yine ondan geldi,
Momi boynunu eğdi, tevekkül etti.
Okutmak istedin evlatlarını,
Çekip çevirmek istedin yarını.
Ama olmadı, bazen olmuyor,
Kader önüne bir duvar örüyor.
Yalnız kaldın, anlaşılmadın,
Derdinle dertlenen birini bulamadın.
Ama ben anlarım seni Mamer’im,
Kırık dökük hayatın sessiz şiiriyim.
Çok konuşur derler, boş sanırlar,
Ama bilmezler, içinde yangınlar.
Kin tutmaz, nefret bilmez kalbi,
Dert anlatamaz, üzülür hep sinesi.
Ne fırtına yıksın seni, ne de dert,
Sabret ağabeyim, hak eder elbet.
Duruşunla dimdik dur hep hayata,
Allah’ım seni alır hak katına.
Bu şiir sana, benden bir yadigâr,
Okudukça hatırla, varsa da yâr.
Seni kimse anlamasa da ben varım,
Momi ağabeyim, kalbinde hep yarım.
Ahiret nasibin cennetle dolsun,
Gözyaşların gülüşe kavuşsun.
Bu şiir senin, adın hep hatıramda,
Unutma Ömeri, senin daima yanında.
MOMI - A Man Like A Mountain
They say Momi, the name of the great mountain is,
There is no accounting for the ordeal he suffered.
He is silent when his heart is burning, and again,
He always gave a life to someone else.
You stood like a mountain, you never fell down,
The winds blew, blew, never reaped.
You didn't listen to snow winter, you became the road again,
You have always given yourself to your silence.
The roads of the school are always half-way,
A father silenced, cut off hope all the time.
He never forgave when he stumbled,
It's like he's not a son, he's nothing.
When you were a child, you were silenced, you had no right to say,
Your life has been darkened by your father's judgment.
You were taken out of school, your dreams are broken,
A thousand cries of hope in your wounded heart.
You loved, you were loved, there was no reunion,
Your heart was full, life was very tiring.
A home that was forcibly established, is missing,
You have sought peace, you have found nothing.
Did he like it? He loved, and sincerely,
But they pulled it out of her by force.
He said get married, dad, is he willing?
His heart is broken, is he still grieving?
You said my brothers, you gave your life,
You've been abandoned for a three-penny benefit.
They have forgotten you, they have done,
Loyalty in the world? Oh, no, the rest of it.
He was supportive, he stretched the arm wing,
He grabbed everything and pulled it up.
But neither loyalty, nor a greeting,
Even what the brother said was haram.
You are kneaded with labor, your forehead is sweat,
You're the kind of person who runs for a halal bite.
Maybe you've talked too much, they'll call you empty,
But there is no evil in your heart, blood for blood.
You took care of your father, you quit your job,
But you took the biggest blow from him.
Still, you didn't hold a grudge, you consented,
You were the friend of the fallen, you ran to every job.
She quit her job for her father,
He stayed in the hospital for months at the beginning.
But the stake came from him again,
Momi bowed her neck, trusting.
You wanted to teach your children,
You wanted to turn tomorrow around.
But it didn't happen, sometimes it doesn't happen,
Fate is building a wall in front of you.
You were left alone, you were not understood,
You couldn't find anyone who was worried about your problem.
But I understand you, my Mamer,
I am the silent poem of a broken life.
They say they talk a lot, they think it's empty,
But they don't know, there are fires inside.
He holds no grudge, his heart knows no hate,
He can't tell problems, he's always sad.
Let no storm destroy you, nor trouble,
Be patient, my brother, of course he deserves it.
Always stand up straight with your posture in life,
God will take you to the level of truth.
This poem is for you, an heirloom from me,
Remember it as you read, and if you have, yar.
Even if no one understands you, I am there,
Momi, my brother, there is always half in your heart.
May your share of the hereafter be filled with paradise,
Let your tears become a smile.
This poem is yours, your name is always in my memory,
Remember, Omar, he is always with you.
