Masalın Yaşı Yoktur

Bir zamanlar bir ses vardı,
Soba yanar, gönül dardı.
Ninem söyler, dünya dinler,
Bir masaldı, cana vardı.
Keloğlan’la başlar sözler,
İyilikle dolar özler.
Kötülük er geç kaybolur,
Hak yerini bulur, gözler.
Büyüdükçe sustu sesler,
Yoruldu kalp, soldu sesler.
Ekran oldu yeni dünya,
Kayboldu o sıcak hisler.
Oysa şimdi biz büyüktük,
Ama içten küçüktük.
Masala biz muhtacız hep,
Çünkü yürek çocuktuk.
Masal gelir, gönül dolar,
Kırık kalp de huzur bulur.
Bir peri kız gülümserken,
İnsan yine umut olur.
Masal biter mi, bitmez hiç,
Kalpte yankı sürer geç.
Anlatanı varsa eğer,
Her gönülde olur sevinç.
Gel otur da bir masal de,
Gecem dolsun, gönlüm dile.
“Bir varmış bir yokmuş” deyip,
İyilikle bitsin hele.
Fairy Tales Are Ageless
(11-syllable meter)
Once upon a time, there was a voice,
The stove burned, the heart was narrow.
My grandmother sang, the world listened,
It was a fairy tale, it reached the soul.
Words begin with Keloğlan,
Longings are filled with goodness.
Evil eventually disappears,
Justice finds its place, eyes.
As we grew older, the voices fell silent,
The heart grew tired, the voices faded.
The new world became a screen,
Those warm feelings disappeared.
Now, however, we were grown-ups,
But we were small inside.
We always needed fairy tales,
Because we were children at heart.
A fairy tale comes, the heart fills,
And a broken heart finds peace.
When a fairy girl smiles,
One finds hope again.
Does a fairy tale end? It never does,
The echo in the heart lingers on.
If there is a teller,
Joy exists in every heart.
Come sit down and tell me a story,
May my night be filled, may my heart long for it.
"Once upon a time," I say,
May it end well.
