Cursed Treasure

What hurts most was not blows from foes or struggles
It was seeking relief from the endless, with my globes
It was biting off more than I could chew, while scared
It was being mighty when I couldn’t endure the aftermaths

What tortures most was not appearing impeccable in their eyes
It was the absence of allies against the gruesome adversaries
It was having to angrily push further in silence until the pitiful end
It was battling hopelessly with everything, including yourselves

What agonizes most was not hearing anything from others
It was noticing you’d confront those merciless recurring gazes
It was giving up on looking over your shoulders, afraid
It was knowing the end was not imminent—until fate decides

What brought me to the purgatory was not my wordlessness
It was refusing to scream for someone to hold my hands
It was the denial of the brutal truth that I—did—lacked
It was turning a blind eye to my transparent states
